The negative electrode 2 of a dry cell consists of a sheet zinc cylinder connection to which is made by a zinc strip 4 connected at its ends to the cylinder and passing through slots in the base of the casing 1. The exposed portion 10 of the strip forms the negative terminal. The casing may be injection moulded round the cylinder 2 and strip 4. A cover 6 is secured in position by a metal ring 8. |
