An ankle prosthesis (30) comprises a tibial component (38) adapted to be attached to a tibia, and a bearing component (36). The bearing component (36) can be moved in an anterior-to-posterior direction to thereby engage and become snap-locked to said tibial component (38). It can then be unlocked from said tibial component (38). It can then be moved in a posterior-to-anterior direction to thereby become disengaged from said tibial component (38). <IMAGE>
