PURPOSE: A plasma display panel and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to lower a discharge start voltage without causing a degradation of brightness or luminous efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises a front glass substrate and a rear glass substrate; first and second discharge sustain electrodes(40,42) formed on the front glass substrate, bus electrodes(44,46) formed on the discharge sustain electrodes, and a first dielectric layer and a protective film covering the discharge sustain electrodes and the bus electrodes; a plurality of data lines formed on the rear glass substrate opposed to the front glass substrate; a second dielectric layer covering the data lines; barrier ribs formed on the second dielectric layer; and phosphor layers formed on the second dielectric layer between barrier ribs. The first and second discharge sustain electrodes start discharge in a low voltage, and have a dual gap for stopping the low voltage discharge. |
