PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to achieve improved discharge efficiency by forming a non-discharge area between discharge cells and optimizing shapes of discharge cells in consideration of diffusion of discharge gas. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises the first substrate(10) and the second substrate(20) opposed each other; address electrodes(21) formed on the second substrate; barrier ribs(25) arranged in the space formed between the first substrate and the second substrate, and which define a plurality of discharge cells(27R,27G,27B) and a non-discharge area(26); phosphor layers(29R,29G,29B) formed in the discharge cells, respectively; and discharge sustain electrodes(12,13) formed on the first substrate. The non-discharge area is disposed in the region surrounded by the horizontal and vertical axes passing through the centers of discharge cells. |
