PURPOSE: An artificial stone coated with a photocatalyst is provided to improve antifouling effect due to the photocatalyst which decomposes contaminants accumulated on the surface of a building, thereby protecting a building as well as maintaining the appearance of the building. CONSTITUTION: The artificial stone coated with a photocatalyst is produced by mixing 85-94 pts.wt of a Portland cement mixture, 1-5pts.wt of fumed silica, 5-10 pts.wt of wollastonite(CaSiO3) to form an artificial stone; coating the artificial stone with a silica sol which contains TiO2 by spraying; and heating the coated artificial stone in a tunnel type dry oven at 50-100 deg.C to form a TiO2 film on the surface of the artificial stone, wherein the Portland cement mixture is comprised of dicalcium silicate (2CaOSiO2), tricalcium silicate(3CaOSiO2), calcium alumina silicate(CaOAl2O32SiO2) and gypsum(CaSO4).
