PURPOSE: A method for changing a function control parameter of a mobile terminal is provided to change a parameter controlling a function of a mobile terminal by using am SMS(Short Message Service). CONSTITUTION: A password for checking a mobile terminal is inputted to set a charged parameter(S1). When an SMS point-to-point message including the changed parameter is transmitted to a target mobile terminal(S2), the target mobile terminal extracts and checks a password(3). If the password is identical to a password previously set for the received mobile terminal(S4), the other remaining function control parameters are stored in a corresponding memory address(S5). The new parameters stored in the memory is currently applied to the mobile terminal as it is or applied after the mobile terminal is re-booted(S6).
