PURPOSE: A phone number storing method is provided to allow a user to directly store a phone number of a sending side on a screen displaying a received text message. CONSTITUTION: When a text message is received by a mobile phone by way of an SMS server, a user checks the currently received text message. Upon checking the text message, the user determines whether to store a phone number of a sending side. If the user determines to store the phone number of the sending side, he/she selects a number storage key displayed on an interface screen together with the text message. Then, a mobile phone controller stores the phone number of the sending side in an internal phone book.
