PURPOSE: A method for announcing a memo in a mobile terminal is provided to display a text memo and announce the contents of the memo by voice when a mobile terminal informs a user about the memo. CONSTITUTION: If a mobile terminal user inputs a text memo and an announcement method, the mobile terminal stores them in the memory(S11). If an event is generated(S12), the mobile terminal judges whether the event is matched with the announcement method(S13). In case that the event is matched with the announcement method, the mobile terminal judges whether a stored text memo is in the memory(S14). If a stored text memo is in the memory, the mobile terminal displays the contents of the memo(S15). Then the mobile terminal converts the memo into voice data using a TTS(Text To Speech) codec and outputs the converted data through the speaker(S16).
