PURPOSE: An LCD device is provided to periodically input a voltage having a reverse polarity in sub pixel unit, and to discharge a liquid crystal closely to a reverse polarity that is previously applied before data signal voltages having positive/negative polarities are applied, thereby improving a signal response speed for the liquid crystal. CONSTITUTION: A gate terminal is connected to a pixel control signal line(C). Terminals of a pixel control TFT(200) are connected to the third terminal(N3) and an opposite electrode voltage source(300), respectively. A pixel control signal driver(400) applies a pixel control signal for controlling a driving of the pixel control TFT(200). The pixel control signal line(C) is wired one by one for each sub pixel. The pixel control TFT(200) functions as a switching element for applying an opposite electrode voltage applied from the opposite electrode voltage source(300).
