PURPOSE: An apparatus for implementing an FA pooling function in a CDMA mobile communication system is provided to facilitate system operation by installing a switch before an IQ input/output stage of a CDMA baseband modem to vary a path. CONSTITUTION: A switch(24) controls 3FA/3SEC input/output. An FA to be controlled by each CDMA baseband modem(21-23) is selected by controlling the switch(20) through a control signal. Owing to the switch(24), a Tx/Rx path connected to the CDMA baseband modems(21-23) can be changed from 1FA to 3FA in one board. Namely, one board can be extended from 1FA up to 3FA. If two boards have an error, a Tx/Rx path is changed so that the CDMA baseband modems(21-23) of the remaining one board can operate each FA.
