PURPOSE: A method for driving a display device, a display device, and a program for driving a display device are provided to prevent image degradation due to noises by suppressing high frequency components after amplifying a difference between spatial frequencies of an image and a noise. CONSTITUTION: A display includes a first correction part(32), a determination part, and a second correction part(33). The first correction part corrects a grayscale level of at least one pixel to facilitate a transition from a current grayscale level to a next grayscale level. The determination part calculates a mean difference in grayscale level between the at least one pixel and a plurality of pixels of a first group of pixels, calculates a mean difference in grayscale level between the at least one pixel and a plurality of the first group of pixels located to another direction of the at least one pixel, and determines that the at least one pixel has an unacceptable grayscale level upon the mean differences having different signs. The second correction part calculates a second mean of corrected grayscale levels of a second group of pixels in a proximity to the at least one pixel upon the at least one pixel being determined to have an unacceptable grayscale level and changes unacceptable grayscale level to a grayscale level equal to the second mean.
