METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING DEVICES IN WIRELESS-LAN HOME NETWORK ENVIRONMENT

PURPOSE: A method for identifying devices in a wireless-LAN home network environment is provided to identify a device in a wireless-LAN home network environment and to offer a computer readable recording medium storing a data structure based on an address to identify a device. CONSTITUTION: An IPv6 address comprises a network ID(410) for identifying a network containing a device and an interface ID for identifying the address of the device in the network(420). The interface ID(420) is composed of a device ID field(430), a company ID field(440), a specific value field(450), and a serial number field(460). The device ID field(430) is to identify the type of the device. The company ID field(440) is to identify the manufacturer of the device. The serial number field(460) is to identify the unique number of the device.
