摘要 PURPOSE: An array substrate of an IPS(In Plane Switching) mode LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to crosswise form organic patterns inducing distortion of electric field at a pixel electrode and a common electrode, thereby minimizing a color shift phenomenon and implementing a wide view angle. CONSTITUTION: The array substrate(100) is comprised of a plurality of gate lines(112), a common line(116) formed in parallel to the gate line(112) and data lines(124) crossing two lines and defining a pixel region(P) with the gate lines. A TFT(Thin Film Transistor) including a gate electrode(114), an active layer(120) and source/drain electrodes(126,128) is constructed at the point crossing the gate and data lines(112,124). The source electrode(126) is connected to the data line(124) and the gate electrode(114) is connected to the gate line(112). A pixel electrode(134) connected to the drain electrode(128) and a common electrode(117) connected to the common line(116) and formed in parallel to the pixel electrode(134) are formed at an upper portion of the pixel region(P). Organic patterns(136) are formed crossly to side surfaces of the pixel electrode(134) and the common electrode(117).
