COLOR FILTER SUBSTRATE FOR LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE USING THERMAL COMPRESSION AND FABRICATION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A fabrication method of a color filter substrate for an LCD device is provided to form a color filter layer through a thermal compression process using a press mold or a roller, thereby simplifying a fabrication process without a photolithography process and a hardening process of each color filter. CONSTITUTION: A red laminate film(140a) consisting of a red pigment layer(142a), a thermal absorption layer(144), and a protective layer(146) is attached to an upper part of an adhesive layer(123). The first press mold is disposed in a position spaced from the protective layer(146). The red laminate film(140a) is pressed toward a substrate(120) by using a thermal compressor(150) in an upper part of the first press mold. The thermal compressor(150) builds a heater(152) therein, to heat the red laminate film(140a) at certain temperature as pressing the red laminate film(140a) at the same time.
