PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an embossed steel sheet is provided to prevent damage of plating layer from the surface of the steel sheet during embossing treatment and obtain superior coating workability and corrosion resistance by improving adhesion of the plating layer plated on the surface of the steel sheet. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the processes of melting a plating material in which one or more of metals selected from zinc, tin and aluminum are mixed; atomizing the molten plating material using an ultrasonic atomizer having a frequency from 14 kHz to less than 120 kHz; adhering the plating material onto the steel sheet by spraying the plating material atomized by the ultrasonic atomizer onto the surface of the steel sheet heated to a temperature from 100 deg.C to a plating material melting temperature at a reducing atmosphere; and temper rolling the plating material adhered steel sheet at the outside of plating pot in such a way that reduction ratio is controlled to 0.1 to 2% based on thickness of the steel sheet.
