PURPOSE: A compact CDMA base station system is provided to minimize the power consumption by executing the functions of the controller of a GPS receiver, as well as the functions of the controller of a base station, through one controller. CONSTITUTION: A GPS engine(102), connected with a GPS antenna(101), is connected to an existing base station control part(103) so that the base station control part(103) can process GPS signals. The control part(103), connected with a base station antenna(104), an RF transmit-receive part(105), and a channel element(106), controls the usual operations of the whole base station system. Also the control part(103) executes data/voice interfacing with a CDMA base station controller(200) through an interface part(107). |
