PURPOSE: A backlight unit is provided to prevent mechanical noise generated between a lower frame and an exposure plate although an external impact is applied. CONSTITUTION: The light guide panel(130) and plural sheets are mounted to the lower frame(110). A pair of insertion grooves are formed at a pair of facing inside surfaces of the lower frame(110). A reflective sheet(120) is positioned at a lower portion of the light guide panel(130) and reflects light toward the front surface of the light guide panel(130). A diffusion sheet(140) is positioned at an upper portion of the light guide panel(130) and diffuses uniformly the light induced toward the front surface of the light guide panel(130) by the reflective sheet(120). The first and second prism sheets(150,160) are positioned at an upper portion of the diffusion sheet(140) and enhance luminance of the transmitted light. A protective sheet(170) is positioned at an upper surface of the second prism sheet(160) and protects the second prism sheet(160).
