LASER PROCESSING MACHINE AND METHOD WITH BURR REGION SKIP FUNCTION

PURPOSE: A laser processing machine and method with a burr region skip function is provided to perform a laser processing operation with holding a constant gap from the surface of a material even in a burr region by memorizing the burr region in advance and ignoring the distance detected by a sensor when the laser processing machine passes through the burr region. CONSTITUTION: A laser processing machine(120) with a burr region skip function is composed of a laser oscillator(110) for generating laser; the laser processing machine for reflecting and irradiating a laser beam generated from the laser oscillator to a workpiece; a Z-axis motor(130) and a motor drive(140) for moving the laser processing machine; a sensor(150) for sensing the distance between the laser processing machine and the surface; and a controller(160) for memorizing a reference point of a burr and the diameter of the burr in advance and controlling to hold a constant gap of the burr without regard to the changed distance between the processed surface and the laser processing machine when a present operation position of the laser processing machine is in the reference point of the burr and the diameter of the burr.
