APPARATUS FOR CORRECTING CAMBER OF SIDE TRIMMER

PURPOSE: An apparatus for correcting camber of side trimmer is provided to prevent camber of the strip from being generated by shear stress when trimming sides of strip using the side trimmer by detecting direction and extent of strip camber and correcting the side trimmer as much as the detected direction and extent of strip camber. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for correcting camber of side trimmer comprising first and second cutters consisting of a pair of double blades rotated with being vertically engaged with each other, the apparatus comprises first and second horizontal gap controllers(6,8) for controlling a horizontal gap between upper blade and lower blade of the first and second cutters; a strip sensing sensor(10) for sensing if the strip is led-in to the side trimmer; a strip camber detection sensor(20) installed on a strip moving path between the first cutter and the second cutter to detect side to side movements of the strip; a control part(30) for controlling the first and second horizontal gap controllers to correct a difference value between the calculated values and the reference value by calculating camber direction and camber amount from the movements of the strip detected in the strip camber detection sensor; and an operation terminal(40) into which operator inputs the reference value of the control part according to circumstances of the facility.
