SORBUS COMMIXTA BEVERAGE AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

PURPOSE: A method of making a beverage containing a Sorbus commixta Hedlund extract as an effective ingredient and fruit juice, vitamin C, sodium carbonate or the like as an optional ingredient is provided. It enables a consumer to easily take a useful component contained in Sorbus commixta Hedlund in beverage form. CONSTITUTION: The beverage contains 40 to 50% by weight of a Sorbus commixta Hedlund extract as an effective ingredient and 2 to 4% by weight of pineapple juice, 20 to 30% by weight of tomato juice, 0.05 to 0.2% by weight of vitamin C, 0.01 to 0.05% by weight of sodium carbonate as an optional ingredient and the balance comprising purified water. The Sorbus commixta Hedlund extract is prepared by washing Sorbus commixta Hedlund with water, grinding and concentrating. The extract has a Brix from 40 to 45.
