PURPOSE: A repeating UE(User Equipment) and a method for operating the same are provided to enable a UE, located in the service area of a BS(Base Station) and in a shadow, to repeat wireless signals transmitted and received between the UE and the BS. CONSTITUTION: A repeating UE(50) consists of a repeating part(60) and a control part(70). The repeating part(60) comprises a duplexer(61), a backward receiver(62), the first repeating amplifier(63), a backward transmitter(64), a forward receiver(67), the second repeating amplifier(68), and a forward transmitter(69). The duplexer(61) each separates the path of a signal to be received and of a signal to be transmitted from an antenna(66). The backward receiver(62) extracts a backward signal from the signals supplied from the duplexer(61). The first repeating amplifier(63) amplifies the signal supplied from the backward receiver(62). The backward transmitter(64) supplies the signal of the first repeating amplifier(63) to the duplexer(61) so that it can be transmitted by wireless. The forward receiver(67) extracts a forward signal from the signals supplied from the duplexer(61). The second repeating amplifier(68) amplifies the signal supplied from the forward receiver(67). The forward transmitter(69) supplies the signal of the second repeating amplifier(68) to the duplexer(61) so that it can be transmitted by wireless. The control part(70) monitors/controls the repeating part(60) and the whole operations of the repeating UE(50).
