PURPOSE: An optical filter is provided to achieve improved transmittance and stability, while allowing the surface color of a display device to be controlled without an optical signal transformation. CONSTITUTION: An optical filter has a mesh type color pattern formed on the front surface of a panel, wherein the color pattern includes a metal film and a metal oxide film. The mesh type color pattern is obtained by etching the multi-layer coating film formed by a metal or a metal oxide. The metal is one or more selected from a group consisting of Ag, Au, Cu, Al, Pt, Ni, Pb, Co, Rh, Ru, Sn, lr, and Ti. The metal oxide is one or more selected from a group consisting of Ag, Au, Cu, Al, Pt, Ni, Pb, Co, Rh, Ru, Sn, lr, and Ti. |
