PURPOSE: A keyboard applied to a portable computing device is provided to facilitate operation by ergonomically designing a button structure of the keyboard, and lighten/slim the keyboard by remarkably reducing an installation area occupied by the buttons. CONSTITUTION: Function key button parts(10,20) are respectively installed to a left/right side of a display area formed to a center part on the front of the portable computing device. Character input key button parts are respectively installed to the left/right side on the back of the portable computing device. The front left/right key button parts are respectively formed by the key buttons of 2 rows and 2 columns. The back left/right key button parts are respectively formed by the key buttons of 5 rows and 2 columns.
