DCT-BASED IMPROVED MOTION PICTURE ENCODING METHOD AND SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A DCT(Discrete Cosine Transform)-based improved motion picture encoding method and system are provided to filter a noise signal in a motion picture encoder to remove noise. CONSTITUTION: A motion picture encoding system includes a modified quantization weight matrix storage unit(1094), a modified quantization weight matrix decision unit(1092), a DCT unit(1010), and a quantization unit(1020). The modified quantization weight matrix storage unit stores a plurality of modified quantization weight matrices. The modified quantization weight matrix decision unit decides one of the plurality of modified quantization weight matrices based on noise information of input video data. The DCT unit carries out DCT for the input video data. The quantization unit quantizes the discrete-cosine-transformed input video data using the selected modified quantization weight matrix.
