PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to drop directly a liquid crystal on a large area of glass substrate including at least one LCD panel and distribute uniformly the dropped liquid crystal on the entire of the panel by an adhesion pressure of the panel, thereby forming the liquid crystal rapidly and enhancing the efficiency of processes in the LCD. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of unit panel regions(200') are arranged at a lower substrate(200). Plural gate lines(231) and data lines(232) for defining pixel regions are arranged lengthwise and crosswise in each panel region(200'). TFTs(Thin Film Transistors) are formed at regions crossing the gate and data lines(231,232) and comprise a gate electrode, source/drain electrodes and an active layer, respectively. A gate pad(241) and a data pad(242) are formed at the ends of the gate and data wires(231,232). Gate and data shorting bars(251,252) for connecting the gate and data pads(241,242), respectively, are formed at the outline of the panel. A checking terminal(260) including a gate checking terminal(261) and a data checking terminal(262) is formed at a side surface of a dummy region in the lower substrate(200).
