PURPOSE: A carbon solid used as a heat resistant material is provided to improve the yield of carbonization and antioxidation property of the carbon solid, while maintaining its initial strength, by introducing a basic Mg metal salt into the carbon solid to promote the polymerization of a binding material. CONSTITUTION: The carbon solid comprises: a carbon material; 10wt% or less of a binder, based on the 100 parts by weight of the carbon material; and 1-25wt% of a basic Mg metal salt, wherein the Mg metal salt is added in the form of a powder or solution dissolved in solvent or liquid binder.
