BROADBAND FREQUENCY MULTIPLIER AND METHOD FOR MULTIPLYING FREQUENCY

PURPOSE: A broadband frequency multiplier and a method for multiplying a frequency are provided to multiply a frequency of an input clock signal in a broad frequency band by using a DLL circuit and an exclusive OR gate. CONSTITUTION: A broadband frequency multiplier includes a frequency divider, a DLL circuit, and an exclusive OR operator. The frequency divider(10) is used for dividing an inputted clock signal into half-frequencies having a duty ratio of 50 percent. The DLL circuit(20) is used for delaying internal clock signals synchronized with output signals of the frequency divider and the output signals of the frequency divider and outputting the delayed signals. The exclusive OR operator(30) is used for performing an exclusive OR operation for the delayed signals to output the multiplied signals.
