PURPOSE: A microwave oven is provided to grill food efficiently by transferring heat to the lower part of food on the tray without additional heaters with cooking by microwave and grilling at both sides of the tray, and to reduce power consumption by simplifying the structure of the cooking chamber. CONSTITUTION: A microwave oven includes a cooking chamber(20), and a tray(30) placed in the cooking chamber. The tray includes a first surface(41) for cooking food with microwave, and a second surface(51) for grilling food by radiating heat with heating by microwave to selectively cook food by microwave or to grill food. The first surface is flattened to cook food by microwave, and plural embossed parts are formed in the second surface. A heating member(53) is attached to the back of the embossed part to radiate heat by absorbing high frequency wave. The tray is composed of a first member(40) having the first surface and front and rear sides, and both sides extended vertically from the edges of the first surface, and a second member(50) combined with the first member.
