PURPOSE: A resist printing cliche and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to construct a cliche with a glass paste layer capable of minute processing on a glass or a plastic substrate, thereby capable of forming a minute resist pattern and a minute pattern. CONSTITUTION: A grinding material(120) is injected on the exposed glass paste layer(103) and a portion of an etch subject layer(103), which does not protected by the resist pattern(107), is physically removed. As the grinding material(120), Al2O3, SiC, CaCO3 and fine-grain glass are used and injected on the glass paste layer(103) together with compressed air or nitrogen gas thorough a nozzle(130) arranged to the region of the glass paste layer(103). The glass paste layer(103) is removed until the substrate(101) is exposed and then a glass paste layer with a pattern shape is formed, so that a cliche formed on a groove is completed.
