RECORDING MEDIUM FOR ELECTRONIC MAP AND TRANSMITTING/RECEIVING DEVICE USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A recording medium for an electronic map and a transmitting/receiving device using the same are provided to store a vector map and extract/transmit/receive the data fast by using a minimum capacity on a mobile terminal such as a PDA(Personal Digital Assistant). CONSTITUTION: A communicator(140) performs communication with a server. A display part(110) displays the information for the map. A coordinates converter(130) receives the information for the map formed by a header representing a property of the information received from the server, an offset representing a distance from the reference coordinates, and the spatial data representing the information with the actual and the relative coordinates, converts the relative coordinates into the actual coordinates, and outputs the actual coordinates. A controller(120) makes the display part display the actual coordinates by referring to the header and the offset.
