PURPOSE: An electro-luminescence display device and a method for driving the same are provided to display the image with a uniform luminescence without the threshold voltage increase of the driving thin film transistor. CONSTITUTION: An electro-luminescence display device includes an electro-luminescence cell(OEL), a supplying voltage source(VDD), a cell driving circuit(42) and a threshold voltage compensation circuit(44). The electro-luminescence cell(OEL) generates the light corresponding to the supplying current flowing to each of the pixels(40). The supplying voltage source(VDD) is connected between both electrodes of the electro-luminescence cell(OEL). The cell driving circuit(42) is installed between the negative electrode, a data line(DL), a gate line(VG) and a base voltage source of the electro-luminescence cell(OEL) for by controlling the first current flowing into the cell driving circuit(42). And, the threshold voltage compensation circuit(44) is formed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode of the electro-luminescence cell(OEL) for changing the second current flowing into the threshold voltage compensation circuit(44) corresponding to the change value of the first current.
