METHOD FOR PROTECTING OBJECT-ORIENTATED UNUNIFORM TRANSMISSION ERROR FOR VIDEO CONFERENCE

PURPOSE: A method for protecting an object-orientated ununiform transmission error for video conferencing is provided to effectively cope with a transmission error and maximize picture quality. CONSTITUTION: A motion picture source to be transmitted through a wired/wireless network is received and segmented into an object and a background. The object and background are transmitted as two bit streams. An overhead is added to each of the object and background such that a ratio of an error correction overhead of the object is higher than a ratio of an error correction overhead of the background. The object and background to which the error correction overheads have been respectively added are transmitted using an interleaving method.
