PURPOSE: An air valve of a tire is provided to shorten working time and fill the tire with optimal pneumatic pressure by automatically decreasing the pneumatic pressure of the tire to the proper level if the pneumatic pressure is excessively filled in the tire. CONSTITUTION: An air valve of a tire comprises a valve body(52) installed to a wheel(50) to connect with an inner part of the tire and composed of an air-injecting hole(52a) formed at the end and inserted with an air injection gun; an elastic member(54) disposed in the valve body to have elastic force corresponding to the proper pneumatic pressure of the tire; a nipple(56) mounted between the elastic member and the air-injecting hole and slid to the elastic force of the elastic member and the pulling force of the air injection gun to open and close the air-injecting hole; and an actuator(60) arranged in the valve body to open the air-injecting hole by pulling the nipple if the pneumatic pressure of the tire is larger than the elastic force of the elastic member.
