PURPOSE: A CPCH(Common Packet CHannel) is provided to accomplish high data throughput per time, reduce time delay and effectively control power. CONSTITUTION: A CPCH improves a CDMA system using spread spectrum modulation. The CDMA system includes a plurality of BSs(Base Stations)(31-33) and a plurality of RSs(Remote Stations). Each RS(35) includes an RS spread spectrum transmitter and an RS spread spectrum receiver. Uplink goes from the RS(35) to the BS(31) and includes the CPCH. Downlink goes from the BS(31) to the RS(35) and is indicated as a CCCH(Common Control CHannel). The CCCH has a common signal processing used by the plurality of RSs.
