PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new agent for ameliorating inflammatory diseases as a new use of a plasma protein belonging to the field of ethical pharmaceuticals. SOLUTION: The inflammatory disease ameliorating agent contains a selenocysteine-containing protein preferably exemplified by selenoprotein P, the C-terminal peptide of the protein or the group of these peptides as main active components.
