PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystalline polyester resin composition capable of producing formed articles having excellent lightfastness even if exposed to elevated temperatures. SOLUTION: [1] The liquid crystalline polyester resin composition comprises a liquid crystalline polyester and at least one of a phosphite compound represented by the general formula: (R1O)3P (wherein R1denotes a phenyl group or a 14C or higher alkyl group). [2] The composition further comprises an organic ultraviolet absorbent with a kick-off temperature of 350°C or higher. [3] The formed articles are obtained by forming the above composition.
