PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moxibustion container which makes it easier to control the heating power and the service time of a charcoal material for moxibustion, is easy to use, and has a higher safety and functional capabilities. SOLUTION: This moxibustion container 1, made of a special material excellent in heat insulation and heat resistance, consists of a thick-walled cylinder 2 having a top 2a with an opening 2b, and a thick-walled bottom 3 in a disk shape, adjacent to the cylinder 2, closing the bottom of the cylinder 2. The cylinder 2 is provided with a number of air vents 2c for introducing air to accelerate combustion of a moxibustion charcoal material C. The special material is made of a fluid mixture of charcoal powder (100g) and Japanese paper (10g), to which CMC (carboxymethylcellulose sodium)(5%) is then added, before being stirred and mixed well in order to improve heat insulation and heat resistance.
