<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print a plurality of copies of a print job while distributing the print job to a plurality of printers through a simplified print system. <P>SOLUTION: A print system is configured by connecting a client and a plurality of printers with a network. A printer PRT1 corrects a plurality of copies of a print job JOB0 specified by a client to one copy and distributes the print job to other alternative printers PRT2 and the like. The printer PRT1 manages total number of copies including the number of copies distributed to the alternative printers and the number of copies being printed by itself and then performs printing of the specified number of copies.
