PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode structure for a solid polymer fuel cell for maintaining CO gas poisoning resistance for a long time.

SOLUTION: In the electrode structure composed of a polymer electrolyte membrane, and an anode and a cathode having a catalyst layer and a diffusion layer, the anode side diffusion layer has a CO decomposition reaction layer, and the pressure difference measured by a pressure difference measuring method is not less than 60 mmaq and not more than 120 mmaq.
