<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device by which paper jamming hardly arises due to the rise of the temperature of a peeling member. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device is provided with a fixing member 61 rotated and driven, a pressure member 62 rotated by being brought into press-contact with the fixing member 61, the peeling member 70 provided close to the fixing member 61 and to peel and guide a sheet-shaped recording medium passing through a press-contact part N between the fixing member and the pressure member from the surface 61a of the fixing member, a detecting means 76 to detect the temperature of the peeling member 70, a controlling means 80 to permit the supply of the recording medium when the temperature of the peeling member is equal to or lower than specified temperature and not to permit the supply of the recording medium in the case that the temperature of the peeling member is higher than the specified temperature and a cooling means 90 to forcedly cool the peeling member when determined that the temperature of the peeling member is higher than the specified temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
