<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card communication system switching method allowing switching to an optimal communication method with a reader-writer by guiding of an IC card, and the IC card. <P>SOLUTION: This IC card comprises an RAM 6 for temporarily storing two or more communication systems that can be mutually used among reader-writers at a communication intialization process with the reader-writer wherein a plurality of communication systems including two or more communication systems common in the IC card α are usably constituted, and a function means (CPU 4) for selecting optimal communication method of the two or more communication systems stored in the RAM 6 according to the property of a receiving command every time the command is received from the reader-writer after the communication initialization process, and when the optimal communication system is different from that of the receiving command, notifying a kind of the optimal communication system to the reader-writer for making the reader-writer switch the communication system after switching the current communication method into the optimal communication system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
