<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for vehicle and its light guide plate that provide superior visibility irrelevantly to the build, riding posture, etc., of a driver and never obstructs the front visual field. <P>SOLUTION: The light guide plate 100 that is so transparent that one main surface can be seen through from the other is stood before the driver's visual field in a backward slanting attitude, wherein an incidence end surface is lower and a projection end surface 102 is upper, so that the other main surface 104a faces the driver. A light emission body is arranged on the incidence end surface of the light guide plate 100. The light guide plate 100 is such that the distance from the incidence end surface to the projection end surface 102 is much larger than the plate thickness, and the projection end surface 102 of the light guide plate 100 may include a plurality of surfaces differing in tilt angle or be frosted.
