PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a magnetic disk device which is used under wide range temperature environment conditions, and also to realize a magnetic head assembly. SOLUTION: Floating quantity of a magnetic head slider 1 is made low floating at low temperature, high floating at high temperature, and variation of coercive of a magnetic disk 2 can be canceled by constituting so that floating quantity of the magnetic head slider 1 can be controlled for temperature variation. Also, floating quantity is controlled so as to be low floating at low temperature and high floating at high temperature keeping a profile of floating from an inner periphery of the magnetic disk 2 of the magnetic head slider 1 to an outer periphery uniform by making a variation rate of Crown quantity for temperature variation 0.26∼0.62nm/°C.
