PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless apparatus which suppresses wasteful power consumption while maintaining a stable apparatus state and easily performing power ON/OFF operation of the apparatus and operation start/stop operation or the like with excellent user-friendliness, and also to provide a power supply management method of the wireless apparatus. SOLUTION: When an apparatus main body 100 is changed from a longitudinally placed state into a laterally placed state, a state sensing section 102 outputs a state sensing signal (PE). When receiving the state sensing signal (PE) from the state sensing section 102, a power supply management section 103 instructs a power supplying/interruption section 104 to apply a power supply. When receiving a power supply application instruction from the power supply management section 103, the power supplying/interruption section 104 supplies a battery power supply (PS) in the apparatus to a wireless communication section 101 as an operating power supply.
