PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle communication apparatus capable of correctly discriminating correctness of a received signal so as to be capable of executing proper processing. SOLUTION: A procedure denoting operations of the on-vehicle communication apparatus includes: a step S1 of discriminating whether or not a received signal is normally communicated in its processing; steps S4, S5, S6 in their processes, of accumulating the number of times of receiving signals of the same contents as to respective signals when the received signal is normally communicated, discriminating whether or not the number of accumulated times is a prescribed number of times or over, and discriminating the signal is equal to a signal outputted from a transmitter side and a normal signal when the number of accumulated times is the prescribed number of times or over; and steps S10, S13, S15, S17 in their processes, of counting the number of times wherein the communication is independently normal with respect to the respective signals when the received signal is not normally communicated, and discriminating the signal to be in error when the communication abnormality is consecutive for the prescribed period or over.
