PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control system which accurately controls an object to be remote-controlled over a communication network, without being influenced by a transmission error occurred during transmitting of control information over the communication network. SOLUTION: The remote control system has a CRC coder 121 for generating CRC codes from a target opening of a dam gate 107. The system comprises a controller 101 for transmitting control information including the target opening and an instruction for opening/closing the dam gate 107 and the CRC codes to an interface 105 over a communication network 103; the interface 105 having an error detector 131 for detecting an error using the CRC codes transmitted from the controller 101, and an opening/closing instruction output decision unit 133 which decides whether the opening/closing instruction of the dam gate 107 is outputted to the dam gate 107 according to the error detection result and does not output the opening/closing instruction, if no error is detected; and the dam gate 107 which is opened/closed according to the opening/closing instruction outputted from the interface 105.
