PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve brightness lifetime and secure heat-resisting characteristics of 100°C or higher, in an organic EL element in which a light emitting layer obtained by mixing a hole transporting material, an electronic transporting material, and a light emitting additive is pinched between a pair of electrodes. SOLUTION: In the organic El element in which the light emitting layer 50 obtained by mixing the hole transporting material composed of a tertiary amine compound, the electron transporting material, and the light emitting additive is pinched between a pair of electrodes 20, 80, the hole transporting material is the tertiary amine compound in which the total number of the sites is 1 or 0, where two or more phenylene groups exist between nitrogen atoms in the molecular structure, and in which glass transition temperature is 100°C or higher.
