PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a WWW site history retrieving device capable of preventing the invalid URL of a WWW site while suppressing the collection scale of a WWW document, and returning the URL designating original WWW document contents or the contents similar to this in a real time even when the WWW document contents designated by the URL obtained by a browser at first are changed. SOLUTION: This WWW site history retrieving device is provided with a WWW document collecting part 5 for selectively collecting a portion of a WWW document disclosed at a WWW site, a WWW document history storing part 6 for storing the WWW document by associating it with the URL, a history retrieving part 9 for retrieving the WWW document in the WWW document history storing part 6 based on URL to which a history retrieval is requested, and an URL specifying part 8 for, when any WWW document which has not been selectively collected is designated by the URL used for history retrieval, converting the URL into URL designating the WWW document which has already been collected at the WWW site, and for outputting it to the history retrieving part 9.
