PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely retain electric control parts inside a control housing in a throttle body device for an engine. SOLUTION: In this throttle body device, the electric control parts 64, 73, 76, and 84 for controlling an intake amount of the engine is stored inside the control housing 28 which joins a joining surface 28a via a seal member 98 to a mounting surface 27a of a throttle body 17. A potting of a synthetic resin 103 covering the electric control parts 64, 73 and 84 is performed inside the control housing 28. An air bleeding hole 104 for discharging air inside the control housing 28 at potting is formed so as to be opened at a sealing region 99 surrounded by the seal member 98 at the joining surface 28a side.
