PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible tube of an endoscope suppressing a change in length during autoclaving. SOLUTION: The flexible tube 15 of the endoscope is formed by braiding at least two or more metal wires in the non-parallel direction without longitudinally orthogonally crossing each other and comprises a netted tube 38 covering the outer circumference of a spiral tube 37 and a sheath 39 covering the outside of the netted tube 38. The sheath 39 is formed by blending styrene resin with ester resin of polymer materials, so that a contracting force by the heat of the autoclaving becomes approximately equal to a force of extending the flexible tube part 15. This constitution can generate the longitudinally contracting force approximately equal to the longitudinally extending force generated when a pressure difference between the inside and the outside of the endoscope is caused, and suppress a change in length of this flexible tube 15.
